Here you can see which sports this garment was designed for. Every Skinfit product is created from a specific requirement: the cut, material, and details are based on how you move, how long you're active, and what kind of weather you're exposed to. This information doesn't exclude other uses – it simply shows you what the garment is designed for.
The fit describes how closely a garment fits the body. Skinfit distinguishes three cuts: athletic fit is close-fitting and designed for high speeds, regular fit allows a little more room, and loose fit is intentionally loose. The cut is not a matter of style, but rather a function – a baselayer only works in direct contact with the skin, while an outer layer needs space for the layers underneath.
The packed size indicates how much space the item takes up when packed – measured in its compressed state and given in milliliters. 250 ml is roughly equivalent to a small water bottle. This value helps you with the decision you make before every trip: whether to take a layer with you even if you don't expect to need it.
The water column rating indicates how much water pressure a material can withstand before moisture penetrates it. It is measured in millimeters according to EN ISO 811 – a textile is considered waterproof from 1,300 mm. The higher the value, the longer and heavier the rain can be, and the more pressure the fabric can withstand where it is stressed: under backpack straps, at the knees, when sitting.
The stated weight is for a single unisex item in size M, women's items in size XS – smaller sizes weigh less, larger sizes correspondingly more. Weight is always a trade-off: lightweight materials save grams on your body and in your backpack, while more robust fabrics are more durable. The longer you're out and the more you're carrying, the more every gram counts.
The women's coat can be worn on both sides, thus offering two different looks.
The robust main side reliably protects against wind and precipitation, while the water- and dirt-repellent reverse side offers a second look.
PrimaLoft® Gold Cross Core Insulation (133 g) retains body heat particularly efficiently and impresses with high thermal performance at a low weight. Its insulation performance remains reliably maintained even in damp conditions.
Two zippered pockets on the main side and the reverse side keep important essentials safe and within easy reach at all times.
The 2-way zipper offers additional freedom of movement in everyday life and on the go.
The specially designed hood adapts to every head movement and stays securely in position without restricting the field of vision.
