Skinfit is a family-run company from Vorarlberg. Since 1997, we have been developing functional sportswear for endurance and mountain athletes. Alpine-rooted, sports-driven, and now managed by the second generation.
Dissatisfaction became a system
1997
Skinfit began with a simple question: Why does every sport need its own specific clothing? Our founder, Werner Battisti, was looking for functional products that could be flexibly combined and used all year round.
Because he couldn't find a convincing solution, he began developing them himself in 1997. From this idea, Skinfit was born—and with it, a clothing system that now works for a wide variety of sports and conditions.
Sport is in our DNA
We don't just develop our products for athletes; we use them ourselves. Our experience in mountaineering, ski touring, running, cycling, triathlon, and cross-country skiing flows directly into our development process.
One system for many sports
Many of our products are designed to be compatible, allowing you to combine them across different sports. This means you need fewer individual products while still being prepared for various temperatures, weather conditions, and intensities.
Today
Today, we develop our products in Koblach – from the initial idea through patterns and prototypes to series production. In doing so, we combine our experience in endurance sports with new materials, technologies, and feedback from our community.
Five layers, one system
Our clothing system consists of five functional layers. Each one performs a clear task: regulating moisture, retaining heat, or protecting against wind and weather.
Depending on the sport, temperature, and intensity, you combine exactly the layers you need. This way, the system supports you from the intense climb to the cold descent and across many different sports.
Developed in Koblach
Our headquarters are located in Koblach, Vorarlberg. This is where the ideas, designs, and patterns for our collections are created. Prototypes are manufactured in our own sample sewing studio and subsequently tested extensively.
The Vorarlberg Alps are right on our doorstep. This allows us to test new products under the exact conditions for which they were developed.
